What is CrossFit?

Constantly varied functional movements at high intensity. What does this mean for you? We specialize in fitness that uses movements that translate into everyday life functions.

 

Is CrossFit for me?

Yes. In life, we all need to squat to sit, deadlift to pick up things, etc. Everyone can do CrossFit regardless of age, physical limitations or current fitness levels. The program is customized for each person to help him or her safely become healthier and fitter. Grandparents and Olympians can perform modified versions of the same general workout movements! 

What can I expect in a class?

Our classes are 60 minutes long and consist of a warm up, strength component and/or a metabolic conditioning (or Metcon) component, and a cool down. All movements are demonstrated in detail for each portion of the workout. Coaches review options for anyone that cannot do the movements yet, and, as always, are available to advise for any further customization or substitutions with the movements. Because CrossFit itself is constantly varied, our workouts are different daily. You'll never be bored with the same workouts over and over again.

Do I need to be in shape to start CrossFit?

No. CrossFit is a program that is designed to get you in shape and increase your current level of fitness. No matter what your current abilities are, you can start CrossFit. As you progress, workouts will become more challenging. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve your fitness, and move you toward your goals.
